About

During the course of her career, freelance writer/editor Kate Shoup, who is currently at work on her first novel, has authored nearly 20 books, including “The Agassi Story,” “Not Your Mama’s Beading,” “iPhone Visual Quick Tips,” “Rubbish: Reuse Your Refuse,” and “Webster’s New World English Grammar Handbook," and edited scores more. She has also co-written a feature-length screenplay (and starred in the ensuing film, shot in 1995) and worked as the Sports Editor for NUVO Newsweekly.

When not writing, Kate, who graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder, loves to ski (she was once nationally ranked), read, and ride her motorcycle—and she plays a mean game of 9-ball. Kate lives in Indianapolis with her daughter and their dog.
